2 laps.(2.625miles). ie the residual of the marathon The
runners will be dispatched in small groups at intervals.
The order of departure will be posted on the club web site
in the week preceeding the stage. The order will depend
upon the result of the first stage.
The trial will be on tarmac park footpaths.Traffic free.
The results will be posted before stage 3.There will be
no presentation at the end of the trial. Presentation will
be at the BBQ.
Parking in the park is limited, use Allesley village and
use footbridge, (300m) or Winsford Avenue and walk through
the passage (150m).
The course starts on
the central path across the park. Runners will run down
the path for 250m to join the perimeter path, taking a left,
they will complete two circuits and finish taking a right
up the path they started to the finish line. With having
a staggered start, it is essential that runners monitor
their own progress to ensure they complet two laps. With
limited number of officials, it is not possible to monitor
the progress of every individual athlete, for this I apologise.
There will be lapping of runners due to the type of stage
and the small circuit. It is an individual time trial not
a handicap race. The park is sloping so you will have three
decents and three gentle climbs.
