Start at 10.00am. Headquarters at Coleshill Town Football Club, Packington Lane, Coleshill. Toilets / changing / showers available Refreshments. Distance will be 10km. Parking at the Coleshill Town Football Club. The results will be posted at the start of Stage 4. There will be no presentation at the end of this stage. The presentation will be at the BBQ at the end of the Tour.
The race will start and finish outside the Colehill Football Club Ground. Runners will race down the Packington Lane over the motorways for 2.1 kilometres. Take a left, over the bridge which spans the disused railway line, down to the ford. Keep right over the narrow footbridge which goes over the river Cole. Do not go through the ford: IT IS DECEPTIVELY DEEP AND FAST FLOWING. There is 30 metres of rough path. Take a right and enter the Packington Estate. Keep left on the Estate road way as competitors will be using the other side of the road when returning. Take a left before Packington Hall then a right and left which leads to 600m of unmade road (grtavel) N.B. Walkers will do a slightly different course at this point to avoid the unmade road. But not the uneven path. Just passed halfway take a right onto the Tarmac road, returning the way you came. KEEPING LEFT. Packington Lane is not traffic free You must run on the left hand side of the road and not cut across the carriageway. |
