At the end of the prologue stage (Stage 1: The Coventry Runner / Saucony Lady Godiva 5) put your race number in the designated bin for the free draw which will be made at the presentation. This draw is for Tour runners only.

The number of runners will be limited. There will be no late entries for the Tour after the closing date. The number is personal and must not be used by another participant.

The race is supporting two charities, Oxford Radcliffe Paediatric Unit and BDF newlife. Unused t-shirts from previous races I have organised, will be on sale at £1, also a green ‘Arial British Junior National Championship 2007’at 50p (nothing to do with the Tour but a pretty colour courtesy SportingPrint) à monies to the charities. T-shirts are available to anyone wishing to support the two charities. Enclosed are two sponsorship forms for anyone wishing to collect sponsorship for their efforts – please DO NOT feel obliged to collect.

The two charities were chosen for personal reasons. Two days after my grandson was born, he had to be taken from Coventry to the Oxford Radcliffe Paediatric Unit because the Walsgrave University Hospital did not have the required life saving facilities available. He was kept on support for two weeks during which time my daughter and son-in-law lived at the hospital while my wife and I looked after our grand daughter. BDF newlife have provided support in the form of equipment in the last two years. Now I am trying to do a little to help them.
